History and status

Established by a Cabinet of Ministers resolution of 1 October 1991; until 2020 it operated as the Nukus branch of the Tashkent Pediatric Medical Institute. Presidential Resolution PQ-4598 of 14.02.2020 created the Karakalpakstan Medical Institute and its clinic on the basis of the branch; the institute is the branch's legal successor.
