Karshi State University is a multidisciplinary state university in Kashkadarya region. Its Faculty of Medicine trains bachelor students in General Medicine and Pediatrics, and from 2026/27 it also admitted students to Dentistry and Higher Nursing.

History and status

Began on 1 September 1945 as the Karshi branch of the Bukhara pedagogical and teachers' institute, later the H. Olimjon Karshi State Pedagogical Institute. Presidential Decree PF-356 of 28.02.1992 created Karshi State University on its basis. The Faculty of Medicine was set up under Presidential Decree PF-6110 of 12.11.2020 (point 5), with medical admissions from 2021/22. Presidential Resolution PQ-96 of 13.03.2026 created the Karshi International School of Medicine and Dentistry at the university.
